Well, May 18th, I graduated high school. =] Wooo! Lol. Anywho, on either the 19th or 20th, I really don't remember which, I had a graduation dinner with my parents, brother, aunt, cousin, grandmother, 2 nephews, a friend of the family, my parents 2 best friends, my fiance, his parents, and his sister and brother in law. Anywho, as my graduation present from my parents, I got a new camera. I like it a lot, and don't get me wrong, I'm very grateful for it, even though it doesn't fit the one requirement I really wanted.. It's a Canon PowerShot A630. The one requirement I really had (Other than it being a digital camera, not a film camera), was that it have a manual focusing lens. Well, this can manually focus, sort of. You can change it to the "Manual" setting, and scroll to the focus you want, but it only shows you that focus in probably about a one inch square in the middle of the viewing screen, which makes it hard to really focus how I want/need.. Also, when I have it in the manual mode, when I have the flash on, more than half the time, the picture turns out just solid, nearly blinding white.. When the flash isn't on, it comes out, obviously, very dark - But at least it's not black.... I've yet to remedy these problems. My father's reasoning for getting me this camera, instead of the one I REALLY wanted, for a bit under $100 more, was that we can't really afford it. Which I would totally understand, except that then he bought my mom a $1400 lap top that she almost never uses, and sure as HELL doesn't need, because we have a perfectly good desk top computer she's ALWAYS on. XP Argh. It's kinda annoying for those reasons. But, again, I really do like it a lot.
